LIVE: Financial Literacy Week Discussion with Youth about Money

A live discussion on financial literacy will take place on March 16, focusing on young people's experiences and challenges regarding money.

On March 16, as part of Financial Literacy Week, a live discussion titled 'Open Conversation about Money' will be held at 11 AM. This event, aimed at fostering dialogue among young individuals about financial topics often considered difficult to discuss, is organized by the Bank of Latvia. Participants will share their personal experiences and address various issues related to managing finances openly.

The discussion will feature several speakers, including Rūdis Freipičs, a second-year student from Riga Graduate School of Law and a representative of the 'Young Economists' association, and Ģertrūde Taranda, a second-year student from the Jāzeps Mediņš Riga Music High School. Also contributing to the conversation will be Alise Mankus, a graduate in pedagogy, radio personality, and content creator. The event aims to create a supportive environment for youth to express their thoughts on financial matters that are crucial for their future.

Kristers Karlsons, a well-known personality from Latvian Radio 5 and host of the show 'Wise and Even Wiser,' will moderate the discussion, which is expected to provide valuable insights and encourage more young people to engage in discussions about money management. The conversation will conclude at noon, fostering a community of informed and financially literate youths in Latvia.
