Lithuania's Minister R. Popovienė is set to visit Sejny and Suwałki to engage in discussions regarding Lithuanian education abroad with school representatives and diplomats.
Lithuanian Minister of Education, R. Popovienė, is scheduled to visit Sejny and Suwałki, where she will participate in discussions about important issues concerning Lithuanian schools abroad. During a roundtable discussion at the 'Lithuanian House' in Sejny, key educational topics will be addressed alongside representatives from the Lithuanian Embassy and Consulate in Sejny. Additionally, the Minister will take part in a conversation focused on integrating cultural education into Lithuanian schooling.
The event in Sejny will feature school representatives from various institutions, including the 'Žiburio' school, other schools in Punsks, the Suwałki Lithuanian primary school, and schools in Riga, Germany, Brussels, and Luxembourg. This broad participation highlights the importance of maintaining and promoting Lithuanian cultural and educational ties among the diaspora communities across Europe. Later in Suwałki, Minister Popovienė will meet with the mayor of Punsko, Vytautas Liškauskas, and will visit local Lithuanian educational institutions, including a primary school and a kindergarten for Lithuanian children.
