Estonian rally driver Robert Virves secured victory in the WRC2 category at the Safari Rally in Kenya, marking his first win outside his home country.
Robert Virves, alongside co-driver Jakko Viilola, clinched the WRC2 category title during the third round of the World Rally Championship season, held at the Safari Rally in Kenya. Demonstrating remarkable stability, Virves took the lead on Friday and maintained it without securing a single stage win in his class. He ultimately finished 30.3 seconds ahead of British competitor Gus Greensmith and 41.3 seconds ahead of Paraguay's Fabrizio Zaldivar, both driving Toyotas and Ε kodas, respectively.
