The Delhi government has responded to this situation by capping the supply of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders to about 20% of daily consumption. This decision is a direct result of the disruptions in the global LPG supply chain and aims to ensure a steady energy supply for essential services during this critical period.

The government has set aside 1800 commercial cylinders specifically for essential services. This action aligns with directives from the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and is part of a broader strategy to manage the crisis effectively. The daily supply of commercial cylinders in Delhi, which typically averages around 9000 units, will now see a strict allocation approach to mitigate shortages and avoid panic buying among consumers.
