UP SI Exam 2026: Fraudsters Caught for Leaking Paper... STF Arrests 3
A major cyber fraud related to the Uttar Pradesh police sub-inspector recruitment exam has been uncovered, leading to the arrest of three individuals involved in cheating candidates.
The Uttar Pradesh police sub-inspector recruitment exam has been marred by a significant cyber fraud case. The Special Task Force (STF) team from Agra has successfully busted a gang operating through Telegram, which was cheating candidates by claiming to provide access to the exam papers. Three suspects were arrested in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, accused of extorting money from candidates under the pretense of securing exam papers for the UP police SI recruitment exam.
The fraudulent activities came to light during the vigilance operations conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board to maintain the integrity of the recruitment process for the direct recruitment examination for sub-inspectors and equivalent posts. Investigations revealed several suspicious channels on Telegram, named 'UP SI Police 2026' among others, that falsely claimed to offer the question papers for the recruitment examination. The STF responded swiftly, identifying the suspects and their modus operandi of luring candidates through these social media platforms.
The situation highlights the challenges faced in ensuring fair recruitment processes, particularly in public service. As the demand for positions in the police force increases, so does the potential for fraudulent schemes. The STF's action not only aims to bring those responsible to justice but also serves as a warning to other potential offenders and reinforces the need for constant vigilance in safeguarding the integrity of recruitment systems in the future.
