Risk Management Secretariat delivers kits in areas affected by winter

The National Risk Management Secretariat in Ecuador is providing humanitarian assistance to families affected by winter weather in various localities.

The National Risk Management Secretariat (Secretaría Nacional de Gestión de Riesgos) in Ecuador has deployed brigades to different localities to deliver humanitarian assistance to families impacted by the winter season. In the canton of Ventanas, particularly in the Girasoles sector, teams delivered 350 first response humanitarian kits to help those most affected by the severe weather. This initiative highlights the government's effort to assist vulnerable populations facing challenges due to adverse climatic conditions.

In addition to Ventanas, aid was also distributed in the La Unión area of Guayas. Through its Zonal Coordination 5, the National Risk Management Secretariat provided packages containing complementary food supplies, personal hygiene kits, cleaning supplies, and bedding essentials to families suffering from the rainy weather. This response underscores the ongoing efforts by local authorities to mitigate the impact of the rainy season, which has left many families in need of basic assistance.

Furthermore, the Secretariat has responded to recent heavy rains in the Chone region, where Zonal Coordination 4 has also managed to deliver humanitarian assistance to affected families. The continuous provision of aid in these regions reveals a focused approach by the government to address the aftermath of seasonal weather challenges and ensure that displaced families receive necessary support during this critical period.
