Nicholas Adomako Baa, a 27-year-old unemployed man, has received a 15-year prison sentence from the Asante Abuakwa Circuit Court in Ghana after pleading guilty to robbery charges. The presiding judge, Mrs. Philomena Asiedu, oversaw the proceedings in which Baa admitted to his involvement in a violent robbery that took place in Ahwiaa, near Nkawie. The incident occurred early in the morning of February 21, 2026, when Baa, along with five accomplices, invaded the home of the victim, Samuel Kwaku-sei, who is a hunter.

During the robbery, the perpetrators were armed with cutlasses and proceeded to tie up the complainant, physically assault him, and make away with valuable items including an itel mobile phone, two long-barrel guns, and a significant amount of cash totaling GH¢14,000. The court heard from Police Chief Inspector Evans Ayimbisa, who acted as the prosecutor, that both the victim and the accused lived in the same vicinity, which underscores the local context of this crime and the impact it has had on the community.
