This is the operating schedule for the Metrovía and urban buses in Guayaquil due to the curfew in effect from March 15
The operating hours for Guayaquil's Metrovía and urban bus services have been temporarily modified due to a curfew imposed in the province of Guayas and other areas.
The Transit and Mobility Agency (ATM) of Guayaquil has announced changes to the operating hours of the Metrovía and urban transport services, effective from March 15 to March 30. This decision is in response to a state of emergency and a curfew mandated by Executive Decree 329, which restricts movement in the province of Guayas and three other localities between 11:00 PM and 5:00 AM.
As part of the adjustments, the Metrovía will operate daily from 6:00 AM to 8:30 PM, with the last run departing at that time. Similarly, conventional urban transport will be available from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM. The ATM also advises taxi drivers and commercial transport operators to carry the necessary documentation required by authorities during the curfew hours to avoid complications while traveling on the roads.
This modification of transport schedules is a direct consequence of government measures aimed at managing public safety amid increased concerns that have warranted a curfew. It reflects the ongoing issues of mobility during emergencies and shows the government's commitment to ensuring that essential services continue while prioritizing the safety of citizens during this period of restricted movement.
