VIDEO: scene of robbery with Globo actor causes Guard to interrupt recording in interior of SP

A scene being filmed for a scene in a Globo show in São Paulo was interrupted by local police who mistook the act for a real robbery.

While filming a scene for Globo’s soap opera 'Três Graças', actor Julio Rocha, known for his role as Edilberto, experienced an unexpected interruption when the Indaiatuba police approached the film crew, believing they were witnessing an actual robbery. The actor posted the incident on social media, humorously noting that the situation escalated to the point where real police intervened during the recording of what was supposed to be a scripted scene involving two armed assailants.

In the shared video, Rocha can be seen inside a car surrounded by the 'robbers,' while he shouts to the police that it was merely a filming and not a real heist. The police, acting under the impression that a crime was unfolding, followed their procedure, which included commanding the actors to exit the vehicle and placing their hands on their heads. This serious response from law enforcement highlights the potential dangers and misunderstandings that can occur during filming in public spaces when staged events mimic real-life crimes.

The police later clarified in a statement that while on patrol on the Cônego Cyriaco Scaranelo highway, they encountered a scene that seemed suspicious enough to warrant further investigation, initially suspecting that a robbery was in progress. Fortunately, the situation was resolved without any real threat, showcasing the balance between public safety and the complexities of film production in urban environments.
