The Federal Rural University of the Amazon (Ufra) released the list of approved candidates for the Prosel 2026 selection process, on Friday, the 13th. Over 12,000 candidates competed for 1,145 places, marking the highest number of registrants since the selection process resumed. In this edition, the veterinary medicine course, located in Belรฉm, stood out with six of the ten highest overall scores.
The top position was secured by Luma Yukie Souza Sawaki, followed closely by fellow aspiring veterinarians Manuela Costa Oliveira and Grazielly Nascimento Nahon e Souza. This strong showing in veterinary medicine indicates a growing interest and competitiveness in this field, particularly within the academic context of Ufra, which serves as a significant educational institution in the region.
The overall performance of veterinary medicine students reflects not only their academic capabilities but also highlights the program's reputation at Ufra. As the university continues to attract top candidates, it emphasizes the importance of veterinary studies in addressing rural and environmental health issues, which are critical in the Amazon region and beyond.
