In a recent operation by the Link Road police in Ghaziabad, a gang involved in stealing iron from trucks and selling it has been dismantled, resulting in the arrest of six suspects, including a scrap dealer. Authorities seized approximately 10.73 tons of stolen iron, along with two trucks, an electronic scale, and cash. The retrieved goods have an estimated value of around 1 million Indian Rupees, highlighting the scale of the operation.

The police's successful operation sheds light on organized crime in the area and the measures being taken to combat it.
According to ACP Shweta Yadav, the police were conducting checks in the area when they received a tip-off about the debris of stolen iron stored in a scrapyard on Jhandapur Road. Acting on this information, the police raided the warehouse, leading to the arrests of key suspects, including Asif Alvi, Ramveer, and others, who were found in possession of the stolen goods.
