Trucks collide on BR-262 and one of the vehicles catches fire; highway is closed

Two truck drivers were rescued in serious condition after their vehicles collided on BR-262 in Ribas do Rio Pardo, Brazil, causing a major fire and road closure.

One truck, carrying cellulose, collided with an empty dump truck, resulting in one of the vehicles overturning and catching fire. Both drivers, around 40 years old, were rescued with serious injuries and transported to a health facility in Água Clara, MS. The identities of the drivers have not been disclosed, and their current health conditions remain unknown.

The accident resulted in the complete closure of BR-262 since 6:30 AM, causing significant disruptions. According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), one of the drivers was initially helped by a passerby before being taken to the hospital, while the other was attended to by ambulance services.
