On Saturday night, around 9 PM, a tragic accident occurred on kilometer 728 of BR-262 in Corumbá, Mato Grosso do Sul, resulting in the deaths of three individuals and injuries to two others. The collision happened between a passenger car, carrying five people, and a truck. The victims included a 45-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, both of whom were seated in the front of the car; they tragically died at the scene and had to be extricated from the wreckage by firefighters.

Emergency personnel arrived promptly, with the Corpo de Bombeiros (Fire Department) performing the difficult task of extracting the deceased from the vehicle. Meanwhile, the remaining passengers, seated in the back, received medical attention. A 42-year-old woman was reported to be conscious but sustained serious injuries, including fractures and hemorrhaging, necessitating urgent care at a nearby emergency room. Another male passenger, aged 41, was also conscious but disoriented, highlighting the chaotic scene that unfolded after the crash.
