Unimontes has opened registrations for 314 remaining vacancies
The University of Montes Claros (Unimontes) in Brazil is accepting applications for 314 remaining spots across various undergraduate courses for the 2026 academic year.
The University of Montes Claros (Unimontes) has released an announcement regarding the availability of 314 remaining complementary vacancies for its Own Entrance Exam, the Series Assessment Program for Access to Higher Education (PAES 5/2025), and Sisu. These available spots are for face-to-face undergraduate courses, with admissions scheduled for both the first and second semesters of 2026. Interested candidates can submit their applications through the Coteps website until March 16, and there is no registration fee required.
To be eligible for these vacancies, candidates must have completed high school and fall into one of four designated groups: participants of the Enem (National High School Exam) from 2010 to 2025; individuals classified on the waiting list of another course via Unimontes' Own Entrance Exam; candidates ranked on the waiting list for PAES – Edital 5/2025; or recent high school graduates, subject to an analysis of their academic history. Unimontes has highlighted that the vacancies are limited to 25 specific courses that currently lack enrolled students, ensuring targeted opportunities for prospective students.
This initiative by Unimontes comes as part of broader efforts to increase student enrollment and fill gaps in course offerings, especially in fields that may not attract as many applicants. By opening these positions, Unimontes aims to enhance educational access and provide opportunities to a wider range of candidates, which could positively impact the community by fostering an educated workforce in the region.
