The Civil Police of Brazil are investigating a troubling incident involving three students at the Agrônomo Narciso de Medeiros Technical School, who are alleged to have tortured freshmen during a disturbing initiation ritual known as 'juramento de trote.' This practice reportedly involved physical and psychological abuse, with family members of the victims describing heinous acts of aggression and humiliation captured on video. The case has been registered as bodily injury and assault, and although the accused were indicted, they have since been released.

The incidents reportedly began when classes resumed in February, with the victims, who are freshmen, being subjected to these rites of initiation orchestrated by older students, aged 15, 16, and 18. The gravity of the situation prompted a response from both the local authorities and the educational institution. The Paula Souza Center, responsible for overseeing the school, confirmed they are investigating the matter and have moved the involved students to remote activities.
