Russia helps Iran in the use of drones, claims Britain
British Defense Minister Ben Wallace indicates that Russia is assisting Iran with the use of drones in the conflict against the US and Israel, as reported by The Guardian.
British Defense Minister Ben Wallace has asserted that there is evidence linking Russia to Iran's tactical operations and drone usage in its ongoing conflicts with the United States and Israel. Following a briefing from British military leaders, Wallace emphasized that it should not come as a surprise, suggesting that the influence of Russian President Vladimir Putin is evident behind various Iranian military strategies and some of its weaponry.
General Nick Perry supported Wallace's remarks, reporting that Russia appears to have offered tactical advice to Iran and its allies on how to effectively operate drones. Perry noted a significant change in the tactics employed by Iranian drone operators, who now execute missions at much lower altitudes, enhancing their efficiency and creating challenges for target detection and interception.
Wallace also highlighted the economic advantages that Putin has gained from rising oil prices, emphasizing that this revenue enables Russia to sustain its military operations, particularly in the conflict in Ukraine. The collaboration between Russia and Iran in military tactics poses broader implications for geopolitical stability, especially concerning US interests in the Middle East and ongoing tensions with Israel.
