UK Defence Secretary John Healey has revealed that Russia is providing significant tactical assistance to Iran, particularly regarding the operational use of Shahed drones in conflict zones aimed at US interests and its allies. During a visit to the UK's Northwood Headquarters, he referenced insights from Lieutenant General Nick Perry, the Chief of Joint Operations, highlighting that Iranian drone operators have begun to adopt Russian military tactics, which could enhance the operational effectiveness of their drone strikes.

Lieutenant General Perry noted that Iranian forces are employing drones at much lower altitudes, which has proven to be a more effective strategy when targeting enemy positions and poses a substantial threat to existing air defense systems.
