The group included two girls from Ronya village, two from Siyau, and two from Chandpur town, all of whom failed to return home by nightfall. Their families have reported the incident to the police, who have since established teams including SOG and surveillance units to search for the missing students. Interestingly, the location of one student's mobile was traced to Haridwar, but the phone has since been switched off, complicating the search further.
The families of the missing students have expressed their outrage directed at the local police, alleging negligence and delay in taking their complaints seriously. They reported that the family members reached the police station the previous night, but their complaints were met with indifference. It was only after contacting emergency services at 112 that the police began to take action and opened a case. One sister of a missing student, Rani, voiced the family's deep fear due to the ongoing lack of leads on the whereabouts of the girls. Meanwhile, the local police superintendent, CO Chandpur Desh Deepak, is personally overseeing the investigation to ensure that the case is handled promptly and effectively.
