Bike of students going for board exams collides with pickup, all three in serious condition

Three students heading to take their high school board exams in Deoria, India, suffered serious injuries after their motorcycle collided with a pickup truck.

In a tragic road accident on Wednesday morning in Deoria district, Uttar Pradesh, three students on their way to take their high school (UP board) exams were struck by a pickup truck. The impact was severe enough to leave all three youths seriously injured. The incident took place near Bhagwanpur in the Rudrapur area, where local residents reported a loud crash that resulted in the motorcycle riders being thrown onto the road and sustaining critical injuries.

After the accident, passersby quickly helped the injured students, transporting them to the emergency room at Maharishi Deverha Baba Medical College. Initially treated there, their conditions were deemed serious enough that they were subsequently referred to BRD Medical College in Gorakhpur for further medical care. As of now, the students are receiving ongoing treatment in Gorakhpur as authorities and medical staff monitor their recovery.

Rudrapur Circle Officer Hare Ram Yadav confirmed via phone that police arrived at the scene shortly after the incident was reported. Preliminary investigations indicate that two of the students were indeed headed to their examination center, highlighting the dangers faced by students and the urgency of ensuring road safety, especially during critical times such as examination periods.
