The Public Ministry of Alagoas (MPAL) has initiated procedures to investigate a complaint of bullying against a student at a private school in Maceió. The investigation aims to determine whether the school failed to act effectively in preventing and addressing the reported aggressions. The name of the school has not been disclosed, maintaining confidentiality during the investigation process.

According to MPAL, the complaint alleges that the student has been the victim of repeated intimidation within the school environment. The investigation is looking into whether the school's administration took any measures after being made aware of the alleged bullying. This case is being supervised by prosecutor Gustavo Arns from the Childhood and Youth Prosecutor's Office, who is also part of the Education Defense Nucleus (Nuded) at the Public Ministry of Alagoas.

The prosecutor emphasized that the law clearly states that such behavior violates the fundamental rights of children and adolescents. The Child and Adolescent Statute outlines the obligations of educational institutions to protect students from violence and harassment, underscoring the urgency for schools to establish effective measures to prevent bullying and ensure a safe educational environment for all students.
