Rodnei Ferraz, a former porter at a private school in Campinas, Brazil, reported that he was racially abused by students who referred to him with derogatory terms such as "dirty black," "monkey," and "sub-race." In response to his allegations, the Civil Police initiated an investigation under the direction of Delegate Rubens Leal, focusing on identifying the adolescents involved in this incident. Since the suspects are minors, the police will follow a different legal process, known as a Procedimento de Apuração de Ato Infracional (PAAI), tailored to minors under 18, rather than the traditional inquiry procedures applicable to adults.
