In a significant crackdown on child exploitation, the Civil Police of Maceió initiated Operation Filhos de Artemis on Friday morning, resulting in the arrest of three individuals suspected of committing crimes involving the sexual abuse of vulnerable youth. The operation targets not only suspected rapists but also those involved in the production, storage, and sharing of abusive images of children. The operation was spearheaded by the Delegacia de Combate aos Crimes Contra Criança e Adolescente (DCCA) with support from the Centro de Operações Especiais (CORE), the Operations Police Coastal Integrated (Oplit), and the Forensic Police.
