Audentes made it difficult for Võru Barrus in the quarterfinals, but experience prevailed

The Estonian volleyball championship quarterfinal series between Võru Barrus Volleyball Club and Audentes/Solarstone kicked off with a competitive spirit, with Võru Barrus emerging victorious with a 3:1 score. The match saw both teams trading points vigorously, particularly as Võru Barrus took the first two sets (25:22 and 25:20) before Audentes pushed back to claim the third set (25:23). However, the skilled players from Võru Barrus rallied in the fourth set to seal the match.

Head coach Oliver Lüütsepp's decision to grant extended rest to several key players paid off, as he was forced to call on his experienced players in the third set when behind. Renato Santos and Henri Treiali were pivotal in attempting to narrow the gap during the third set, but despite their efforts, Audentes clinched the set. Nonetheless, the return of the main squad players ensured that Võru secured a convincing win in the fourth set, showcasing their depth and resilience throughout the match.

Võru Barus' standout player, Robin Kahu, scored 14 points, further supported by Tarvo Täht with 13 points and Renato Santos with 9 points. On the other side, Carl Kreek led Audentes with 16 points, while Mati Juus added 12 points. With a reception rate of 36% and a 44% attack rate, Võru's performance reflected both strengths and areas for improvement as they continue in the tournament, indicating their robust lineup and strategic planning against tough opposition.
