Lithuanian volleyball players I. Vasiliauskaitė and E. Kliokmanaitė have begun their participation in a major international beach volleyball tournament in Brazil. They successfully navigated the qualification round, where they secured a confident 2:0 win against the Canadian duo Kaylee Glagau and Abbey Thorup, gaining entry into the main competition. However, they faced a challenging start in the group stage, suffering a 0:2 defeat to the highly ranked Dutch team of Katja Stam and Raisa Schoon.
In their second group match, the Lithuanian athletes delivered an impressive performance against Svenja Muller and Cinja Tillmann, the current European champions and medalists from the upcoming 2025 European championships.
