Sabesp pipeline replacement closes part of canal 2 in Santos; check it out
A section of Avenida Bernardino de Campos in Santos, Brazil, is closed for vehicles until April 30 due to sewage pipeline renewal by the Sabesp sanitation company.
A segment of Avenida Bernardino de Campos in Santos, São Paulo, is experiencing a vehicle closure from 9 AM to 4 PM due to essential sewage pipeline renovation undertaken by the Companhia de Saneamento Básico do Estado de São Paulo (Sabesp). This blockage affects the area from Avenida Francisco Glicério to Rua Duque de Caxias and is expected to remain until next Tuesday, April 17, although the road will be open for traffic over the weekend.
Since September, the Sabesp has been conducting extensive works in the vicinity, aiming to improve the sewage system, with a projected completion date set for April 30. The Santos municipal administration has indicated that agents from the Companhia de Engenharia de Tráfego de Santos (CET-Santos) will be present to assist and guide drivers during this period of disruption to minimize traffic congestions and ensure public safety.
In addition to the road closure, the municipal government is providing alternative routes for drivers to navigate around the affected area. These measures underline the city's commitment to improving infrastructure while attempting to lessen the impact of construction-related inconveniences for residents and commuters in Santos.
