In Santos, located on the coast of São Paulo, the city has announced that several streets in the downtown area will be closed during the street carnival events known as Carnabonde and Carnacentro. These traditional festivities are scheduled to take place from Saturday, February 14, to Tuesday, February 17, at Praça Mauá in the historic center. The closures are expected to significantly impact local traffic and public transportation during this festive period.

Carnabonde, which will kick off on Saturday at noon, will see street closures beginning at 10 AM and lasting until 6:30 PM on five streets adjacent to the Praça Mauá. Additionally, further road interruptions will occur from 2:30 PM to 4 PM along streets included in the carnival route. Local public transport lines will also experience changes to accommodate the flow of revelers and ensure safety during the events.
