Taubaté City Hall authorizes up to 22% raise for Funcabes employees
The Taubaté City Hall has approved a salary increase of up to 22% for 2,599 employees of Funcabes who provide various services in the city's education system.
The Taubaté City Hall has announced a significant salary increase for its Funcabes employees, which will affect 2,599 individuals working in diverse roles within the city's education system. The increases range from 8.85% for educational coordinators to as much as 22% for lower-tier positions such as child development assistants, administrative support assistants, school transport assistants, and inclusive support assistants. This decision comes as a result of a re-evaluation of the work plan established between the Education Secretary and Funcabes.
The proposed wage adjustment is set to be reflected in the payroll for April. This increase aims to improve the compensation of employees who play crucial roles in supporting education in Taubaté, which is particularly important given the ongoing challenges faced by public education services. Among those set to benefit from the raise are school mediators, IT support assistants, specialized support assistants, sign language interpreters, drivers, administrative coordinators, and nursing technical support.
By implementing these salary increases, the Taubaté City Hall may be addressing some of the workforce challenges within the education sector, potentially improving employee satisfaction and retention. This move also signals a commitment to enhancing the quality of public services provided to the community, particularly in the context of education, which is a key area for local development and investment.
