A wedding procession in Jhansi, India, was violently attacked by local goons, resulting in multiple injuries among the guests.
In a shocking incident in the Katera police station area of Jhansi, a wedding procession from Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, was attacked by local goons. The attack occurred when the groom Dinsh Shreevasta's procession arrived at the venue. Intoxicated locals initiated a dispute with the wedding guests and escalated the situation by brandishing firearms at the groom, creating an atmosphere of terror. More than half a dozen guests were injured during this violent encounter, and the attackers threatened to shoot if the wedding was not stopped and the bride was not sent back.
Eyewitnesses reported that the celebration turned into chaos as dozens of attackers surrounded the procession. The assailants, believed to be under the influence of alcohol, targeted the groom first, pointing a weapon at him. Following this, they beat anyone who came in their path with fists, feet, and sticks. The aggressive outburst led to pandemonium among the wedding guests, who frantically fled to save themselves from the unexpected violence.
The father of the groom, Gajadhar Shreevastava, claimed that 30 to 40 men participated in the assault. In response to the incident, police have initiated an investigation based on viral videos and the formal complaint lodged by the affected parties, aiming to identify and apprehend the culprits responsible for this egregious act of violence at a family celebration.
