An alarming report was received by the firefighters around 1:30 PM regarding thick smoke emanating from a house in the Šilutė district. Edita Zdanevičienė, a representative from the Fire Protection and Rescue Department, informed BNS that firefighters, equipped with breathing apparatus, entered the heavily smoke-filled house. They quickly located an individual who was unconscious, and they successfully carried him out to safety.

The rescuers provided immediate assistance and managed to revive the victim outside the house. An ambulance subsequently transported the individual to a hospital for further medical attention. The prompt actions of the firefighters not only saved the man's life but also emphasized the critical role of emergency services in such life-threatening situations.

By 2:10 PM, the fire was fully extinguished, preventing further damage to the property and ensuring the safety of the surrounding area.
