Fans of Estonian biathlon have the opportunity to meet local legends during an event in Otepää on Saturday.

On Saturday, Otepää will host an opportunity for fans to meet legendary figures in Estonian biathlon as part of the ongoing World Cup stage. At 12:30 PM, fans will gather in a fan tent to interact with athletes and coaches who have significantly shaped the history of the sport in Estonia. Notable figures participating include Krista Lepik, who achieved Estonia's best Olympic result in biathlon with an 11th place in 15 km at the 1992 Albertville Games, among others.

In addition to Krista Lepik, the event will feature Roland Lessing, who clinched second place at the World Cup stage in Pokljuka over a decade ago, along with Eveli Saue, who has enjoyed multiple top ten finishes in world cup events. The gathering will also highlight the contributions of legendary coach Tõnu Pääsuke, recognized this year with the culture capital lifetime achievement award, as well as Even Tudeberg, who competed for the Soviet Union, and Matti Paavo, who earned medals at junior world championships. Kauri Kõiv, who ranked fifth at the 2014 Oberhof World Cup stage and currently serves as a sports director for the federation, will also be present.

Fans will have the chance to seek autographs and take photos with these top athletes following the meeting, marking an important moment to celebrate the rich heritage of Estonian biathlon.
