Connecting the academic community with passenger shipping
Fifty students from the University of Aegean's Maritime and Business Services Departments visited Attica Group to discuss the connection between academia and passenger shipping.
Recently, Attica Group hosted fifty students from the University of Aegean, specifically from the Departments of Maritime Studies and Business Services, as part of an initiative aimed at linking the academic community with the passenger shipping industry. During the visit, the Deputy CEO, Dionysis Theodoratos, addressed the students, highlighting the group's crucial role in serving the islands of Greece, promoting tourism, and transitioning towards more sustainable shipping practices.
Attica Group's executives also shared insights into various sectors of the company, including Crewing, Human Resources, Culture Management, Customer Relationship Management, Financial Strategies, Sustainability, as well as Transformation and Risk Management. They elaborated on aspects such as route planning, financial strategies, sustainable development, and the integration of AI technologies into operations. This initiative not only fosters an exchange of knowledge between the industry and university but also prepares students for future careers in the maritime sector.
