The University of Piraeus held a successful informational seminar regarding the Internship Program for students of the Department of Shipping Studies, marking its fifth consecutive year. This event was significant for connecting students with the shipping market, emphasizing the importance of practical experience in the industry.
During the seminar, representatives from 33 shipping companies and groups showcased their support for the program by offering internship positions to students. The president of the Department, Professor Ioannis Theotokas, presented the program details, while company representatives discussed how the internship programs would be implemented. This collaboration highlights the strong relationship between academia and the shipping sector.
Additionally, the seminar provided students with the opportunity to engage directly with industry professionals, fostering discussions about career prospects within the shipping industry.
