Exoneration of $25 fine for registration in Quito benefits vehicles with plate 1
The Metropolitan Transit Agency in Quito has addressed about 1,700 registration processes following the restoration of several services by the National Transit Agency.
In a recent development, the Metropolitan Transit Agency (AMT) in Quito reported that it has managed approximately 1,700 administrative procedures related to vehicle registration after the National Transit Agency (ANT) reinstated nine services and 155 processes nationwide starting on March 9. The agency noted that with the restoration of these services, a significant number of transactions were completed in just the first day of operations.
During the first day of the resumed services, 1,717 transactions were reported. This included online registrations (339), registrations at Vehicle Technical Review Centers (396), ownership transfers (92), plate deliveries (415), new vehicle registrations (154), and various other processes (321). The volume of transactions reflects the demand for services like vehicle registration and highlights the importance of effective communication between the AMT and the public.
Further, the AMT issued recommendations for individuals planning to complete vehicle registrations. These suggestions include checking for any pending fees, ensuring payment is settled, and scheduling appointments for vehicle technical reviews, particularly ensuring that they select the registration and review option. These measures aim to streamline processes and enhance efficiency in managing vehicle registrations in the region.
