In these eight cities, the assignment and transfer of license plates for new vehicles can now be completed
The National Transit Agency of Ecuador has announced that residents in eight cities can now assign and transfer license plates for new vehicles digitally as part of a national service reactivation effort.
The National Transit Agency (ANT) of Ecuador has revealed that they have activated a new virtual service enabling the assignment and transfer of vehicle license plate series for new vehicle registrations in eight cities, including Quito, Guayaquil, Cuenca, and others. This initiative is a significant step in the agency's ongoing efforts to progressively reactivate their services on a national scale.
The service is specifically designed for Decentralized Autonomous Governments (GAD) that possess the current authorization to conduct new vehicle registration processes according to relevant legal and regulatory provisions. This move is aimed at streamlining the registration process and improving service delivery to users across the affected cities, addressing previous delays caused by the pandemic.
The ANT emphasized that this new capability is part of a broader initiative to restore orderly and secure attention for users, highlighting recent steps taken to resume new vehicle registration services in Quito and Guayaquil. As the country gradually emerges from service disruptions, this facilitates easier access for citizens looking to register their new vehicles, potentially boosting local economies in these cities.
