Car worth R$ 1 million linked to faction leader from MT on the 'red list' of fugitives is seized
A luxury car valued at nearly R$ 1 million, associated with prominent faction leader Gilmar Reis da Silva, was seized in Campo Grande, Brazil.
A luxury vehicle valued at approximately R$ 1 million, linked to Gilmar Reis da Silva, known as 'Vovózona', was confiscated on October 10 in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul. Silva is identified by law enforcement as a key leader of a criminal faction operating around Rondonópolis, located 215 km from Cuiabá, and he is currently featured on the 'red list' of the country's most dangerous criminals, being a fugitive from justice.
Investigations suggest that the car was registered under the name of Silva's wife, who is also implicated in the alleged money laundering and asset concealment schemes associated with the criminal organization. The seizure was executed following a court order issued by the Justice 4.0 Center of the Guarantee Court from Rondonópolis, reflecting the ongoing efforts by authorities to combat organized crime in the region.
This action was part of the larger Operation Imperium, which had commenced in February, led by the Organized Crime Combat Management (GCCO) and the Police Force of the state. The operation highlights not only the fight against drug trafficking and related crimes but also underscores the importance of targeting financial structures that support these criminal networks, indicating that authorities are actively pursuing high-profile figures linked to organized crime in Brazil.
