A 34-year-old man, who worked as a speech therapist at a clinic for children with autism, has been arrested in the Federal District of Brazil, suspected of sexually abusing a four-year-old child with autism. The alleged abuse reportedly occurred in December 2022, and police action took place following a complaint by the child's mother, who noticed signs of distress in her child after an appointment with the therapist. Her observations led to the discovery of evidence that prompted the investigation.

The child's mother reported that after the consulting session, her child was in apparent anguish, which raised her suspicions. While changing the child, she found a hair that was not hers in the nappy. This alarming discovery prompted her to contact the police, who subsequently collected the child's clothes and the nappy for forensic examination. The investigation revealed the presence of sperm in these items, strengthening the case against the suspect.

The police conducted searches at the suspect's residence for further evidence, which included seizing cell phones and computers, potentially to uncover more incidents or corroborate the allegations.
