About a hundred nationalists marched in Vilnius celebrating the restoration of Lithuania's independence

Approximately 100 nationalists gathered in Vilnius to commemorate Lithuania's independence restoration, waving flags and chanting nationalistic slogans.

On the occasion of Lithuania's independence restoration, about a hundred nationalists gathered in Katedros aikštė, holding Lithuanian, Vytis, and Ukrainian flags, alongside dark flag symbols featuring skulls and the phrase "Heroes do not die". The demonstrators marched towards Lukiškių aikštė for around thirty minutes, chanting slogans promoting nationalism, freedom, and solidarity with Ukraine.

During the march, the organizers carried a large banner displaying the coats of arms of Lithuania and Ukraine, accompanied by the message "For our and your freedom" in both languages. The atmosphere, however, was somewhat tense due to provocations, as music associated with the circus was played nearby, prompting a peaceful resolution when law enforcement intervened by isolating the individual responsible for the disruption.

The event was organized to celebrate the significant historical milestone of national independence, with the demonstrators emphasizing pride in their heritage and the importance of defending their national identity. Vytautas Stepas, one of the organizers, reiterated that freedom is a perpetual struggle, highlighting the ongoing relevance of the march in the context of contemporary geopolitical issues, especially in relation to Ukraine.
