Two community dogs removed from a Mercado Livre center in Paraná remain missing
Two community dogs, Rajadinha and Cara Preta, have been missing since January 28, and the investigation suggests company employees may have been involved in their disappearance.
Two community dogs, Rajadinha and Cara Preta, were reported missing in the early hours of January 28, along with two others named Xuxa and Lobão, the latter of which were found on February 16. Investigative reports indicate that employees of Mercado Livre, a major e-commerce company, deliberately removed the dogs from the premises. Following this, the company has publicly stated that those responsible were terminated, although their names have not been disclosed.
By the end of February, Mercado Livre attempted to locate one of the dogs, which was initially believed to be one of the missing ones. However, upon further inspection, it was confirmed that this animal was not the same as the one that lived in the company's yard. The investigative officer, Guilherme Dias, shared that despite efforts to identify the potential third dog connected to the case, they have yet to confirm its identity.
Currently, the search for Rajadinha and Cara Preta continues, with the police stating that they are exploring all avenues to track down the missing pets. The officer mentioned that he personally went to the location where another dog was believed to have been found but confirmed it was not a match due to the absence of a microchip, indicating that more people will be interviewed as the investigation progresses.
