Young man dies in accident between car and motorcycle on Everaldo Martins highway, in Santarém

Seventeen-year-old Victor Emanuel Rocha Araújo died in a tragic accident involving a motorcycle and a rideshare car on a highway in Santarém, Brazil.

Victor Emanuel Rocha Araújo, a 17-year-old, lost his life on Tuesday afternoon following a severe motorcycle accident on the Everaldo Martins highway in Santarém, located in the western region of Pará, Brazil. The collision occurred near the entrance of the Jatobá road, stemming from an incident of reckless driving by Rocha Araújo, who was reportedly operating the motorcycle when it skidded on the slick road. Witnesses stated that Nicolas Gabriel Miranda, the 18-year-old driver of the rideshare vehicle, attempted to brake to avoid a collision, resulting in him losing control and rolling over his car.

Emergency services, including the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu), responded promptly to the scene to assist the injured. Of the two individuals riding the motorcycle, Victor was reported to be in the more critical condition upon arrival of the paramedics.
