In a tragic incident on the morning of Saturday, a young man, aged 20, lost his life in a collision involving a motorcycle and a truck on the Washington Luís Highway (SP-310), specifically at kilometer 433 in São José do Rio Preto, São Paulo. According to the State Highway Police, who responded to the scene, the motorcyclist attempted to overtake another vehicle when he was struck by the truck.

Despite the truck driver stopping to provide assistance, the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident. The authorities conducted an investigation, and after completing the necessary procedures, the roadway was reopened to traffic. The body of the deceased was subsequently sent to the Medical Legal Institute (IML) for further examination.
