Santos tourist train will have a free and special ride for women; check the program
The Santos tourist tram will offer a free special ride for women, featuring thematic debates in honor of Women’s Month.
The Santos tourist tram, situated on the São Paulo coast, is set to host a special event in recognition of Women's Month on Friday, March 13th. The initiative, called 'Bonde delas' (Women's Tram), includes free rides for women alongside discussions led by professionals from various fields to facilitate dialogues on important topics affecting women today. The tram will depart from the Valongo Station located at Largo Marquês de Monte Alegre.
Throughout the event, participants can expect thematic sessions focusing on emotional health, strategies to confront violence, and self-defense techniques. The first session will begin at 14:20 with Dorian Rojas, the director of the Mental Health Department, who will guide participants through emotional reflection using storytelling as a therapeutic approach. The following session at 15:20 will continue to address various forms of violence, providing practical insight and support for attendees.
This initiative by the local government underscores the importance of mental health and public safety discussions within the community while celebrating women’s contributions and challenges. By offering these free rides and professional insights, the event aims to foster empowerment, encourage self-care discussions, and create a supportive environment for women in Santos during Women’s Month.
