In good news for millions of farmers across India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to release the 22nd installment of the PM-KISAN scheme soon. This time, over ₹18,640 crores will be transferred directly to the bank accounts of more than 9.32 crore farmers. The funds will be disbursed through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mechanism, ensuring that the assistance reaches the intended beneficiaries without any delays. According to official information, ₹2,000 will be credited to each eligible farmer's account under the PM-KISAN scheme on March 13, 2026. Annually, the scheme provides a total of ₹6,000, split into three installments of ₹2,000 each. With a total of 21 installments already distributed, the upcoming 22nd installment will continue to provide crucial financial support to farmers, helping them make essential purchases like seeds and fertilizers. The PM-KISAN scheme, initiated in 2019, aims to assist small and medium farmers across the nation.
