On March 25, Dailes Theatre will host a gala concert showcasing 12 soloists from five prominent ballet companies in the United States. The event, organized by event coordinators, promises a high level of artistic performance by dancers representing the New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre (ABT), Houston Ballet, The Joffrey Ballet from Chicago, and the ABT's youth division, ABT Studio Company. Among the participating soloists are several notable names from the ballet world, including ABT’s prima ballerina Chloe Misseldine and premier dancer Daniel Camargo, as well as New York City Ballet’s leading performers Mira Nadon, Chun Wai Chan, and Giovanni Furlan. The event will also feature performances by Houston Ballet's soloist and ABT guest artist Juriko Kajiya, Houston Ballet premier Aaron Robinson, and Joffrey Ballet's soloist Victoria Jaiani alongside leading soloist Dylan Gutierrez, along with talented dancers from ABT Studio Company. The concert highlights the historical connection between the ABT company and Latvian-born ballet artist Mikhail Baryshnikov, who was a principal dancer for four seasons and served as the artistic director for 22 years. This event not only showcases exceptional talent but also strengthens cultural ties between Latvia and the United States through the shared appreciation of ballet as an art form.
