Vaprus advances to the semi-finals of the Tipner Cup for the first time in its history after defeating Tartu Welco.
In an exciting match on Tuesday, Pärnu Vaprus achieved a historic milestone by advancing to the semi-finals of the Tipner Cup for the first time. Competing against Tartu Welco, a team from the second division, Vaprus started strong, taking the lead with a goal from Kevin Aloe in the 41st minute. Mark Anders Lepik extended their advantage shortly after halftime, scoring in the 57th minute. Although Tartu Welco's Johannes Petmanson netted a goal to narrow the gap 15 minutes before the end of regulation, the home team maintained their lead, securing their spot among the final four.
In a parallel match, eight-time champions FC Flora faced off against Nõmme United, where they initially fell behind just four minutes into the game. However, Flora rebounded with a goal from Nikita Kalmõkov in the 51st minute, followed quickly by another from Oscar Pihela three minutes later. Rauno Sappinen capped off the match with a third goal in the 87th minute, ensuring a 3-1 victory for Flora.
The outcomes of Narva Trans versus Viimsi JK and Paide Linnameeskond against Tallinna Kalev will determine the remaining teams to proceed to the next round.
