Operation seizes motorcycles with tampered exhausts in cities of Noroeste Fluminense

A police operation in Noroeste Fluminense targeted motorcycles with modified exhaust systems, leading to multiple confiscations and addressing local noise complaints.

The 36th Military Police Battalion, based in Santo Antônio de Pádua, launched an operation on Monday, the 9th, focusing on checking motorcycles with tampered exhaust systems and irregular documentation in cities across Noroeste Fluminense. This operation resulted in the seizure of several motorcycles during searches conducted at various locations within the region, with some actions documented on video by the police teams themselves.

In addition to ensuring vehicle compliance, the operation aims to combat disturbances caused by excessive noise from modified exhaust systems, known as "open pipes," which have prompted frequent complaints from residents. The checks are being carried out in cities serviced by the battalion, such as Santo Antônio de Pádua, Miracema, Itaocara, Aperibé, Cambuci, and São Sebastião do Alto.

Reports from the community indicate that the increased presence of police checkpoints has positively contributed to reducing the disturbances caused by these noisy motorcycles. By addressing this issue, the police are not only enforcing traffic regulations but also responding to public concerns, enhancing community safety and wellbeing.
