More than 200 adulterated exhausts are destroyed in the municipality of Monte Alegre
Over 200 modified motorcycle exhausts were destroyed in Monte Alegre, Brazil, following an operation to reduce noise pollution and enforce traffic regulations.
In Monte Alegre, located in the western region of Pará, Brazil, more than 200 adulterated motorcycle exhausts were scheduled for destruction on Thursday, in accordance with the findings of Operation Silêncio conducted by the Military Police in conjunction with the Municipal Department of Transit (Demutran). These exhausts were confiscated due to illegal usage within both urban and rural areas, including documented cases in the surrounding region of Prainha.
The operation, which commenced the previous year and is set to continue until the beginning of 2026, aims to eliminate equipment that contributes to noise disturbances and environmental pollution. The exhaust modifications that were seized do not comply with traffic and environmental regulations, affirming the necessity for such legal standards in maintaining public order and tranquility.
The destruction of these modified exhausts is intended to prevent their possible re-entry into illegal circulation, thereby reinforcing the local government's commitment to controlling noise pollution and ensuring that regulatory measures are respected. This coordinated effort exemplifies a proactive approach to maintaining environmental standards and public welfare in the region.
