A 23-year-old truck driver caused significant traffic chaos after trying to pass under a railway underpass that was too low for his vehicle.

In a notable incident in Gilching, a young truck driver learned the hard way that height restrictions are not mere suggestions, leading to serious chaoos on both roads and railways. The driver, operating a concrete mixer that stood 3.90 meters high, attempted to navigate through a railway underpass that was only 3.50 meters in height, resulting in a collision with the ceiling of the underpass.

The collision occurred around 8:35 AM when the driver was traveling from Landsberger Straße towards Karolingerstraße. Despite the underpass being significantly lower than his vehicle, the driver proceeded, leading to the concrete mixer abruptly hitting the ceiling. Following the incident, he stopped the truck and contacted his boss, who then alerted the local police.
