A serious accident on State Road 2069 near Gilching left three individuals injured, one of them severely, when a car collided with a sales truck.
On Friday morning, an accident on State Road 2069 near Gilching resulted in three people being injured, including one seriously. The incident occurred around 6 AM when a 33-year-old driver, traveling from Starnberg towards Gilching and the A96, veered into oncoming traffic approximately 200 meters before the intersection towards Gut Hüll. The police suspect that the cause of the accident was the driver's speed not being adjusted according to the weather and road conditions.
The driver's vehicle collided with a sales truck, leading to severe injuries for the 33-year-old, while two of the three occupants in the truck sustained minor injuries. Emergency services transported all three individuals to the hospital for treatment. Following the accident, both vehicles required towing, and the police estimated the damage to be around 35,000 euros. Additionally, the road maintenance team had to clean up spilled fluids from the roadway after the vehicles were removed.
