BREAKING: Woman, 28, dies in horror paragliding crash in Tenerife after cardiac arrest

A 28-year-old woman died following a paragliding accident in Tenerife, where she suffered a cardiac arrest shortly after the crash.

Cristina Colturi, a 28-year-old woman, tragically died as a result of a paragliding accident in Tenerife, a popular destination for British tourists. The incident occurred while she was participating in a tandem flight near La Enramada beach in Costa Adeje. Eyewitnesses reported that the pair crashed in a rocky area, leading to immediate calls for emergency services.

Despite quick action from emergency crews at the scene, Cristina was found in a state of cardiac arrest. Medics managed to revive her on the beach before she was transported to the Our Lady of Candelaria University Hospital in Santa Cruz. Unfortunately, after two days of hospital treatment, she succumbed to her injuries, leaving her family devastated.

Cristina, originally from Italy, had moved to the Spanish island just a year prior to the accident. This tragic event has not only shocked her family and friends but also raised concerns about the safety of paragliding activities in tourist hotspots, highlighting the need for better regulation and safety measures in such adventure sports.
