At least 33 people injured in Russian attacks on Ukraine over the past day

A recent surge in Russian attacks on Ukraine has left at least 33 people injured, according to local authorities.

In a series of aggressive air strikes, Russian forces have injured at least 33 individuals across Ukraine within a single day, as reported by local authorities on March 10. The Ukrainian Air Force announced that overnight, Russia launched 137 drones against various regions, out of which 122 were intercepted or neutralized by Ukrainian air defenses. Nevertheless, 12 drones successfully hit 10 locations, causing injuries and damage, leading to a critical situation concerning civilian safety and infrastructure.

Significantly affected areas include Kharkiv Oblast, where 13 people, including two children, were reported injured as a result of targeted strikes on civilian infrastructures. Reports state that Russian attacks also extended to 22 settlements in the region, indicating a widespread assault. Similar incidents unfolded in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, where 10 individuals sustained injuries due to aerial and artillery attacks, creating havoc across three districts.

The situation remained tense in Kherson Oblast and Sumy Oblast, with additional reports of injuries caused by ongoing hostilities. In total, nine people were injured in Kherson, and a 71-year-old man was reported injured in Sumy after an attack on a civilian vehicle. As these attacks persist, local authorities face an increasing challenge to protect civilians and maintain infrastructure amidst ongoing conflict, amplifying concerns over the humanitarian implications of the war in Ukraine.
